Self Pity

I was watching GI Jane and this poem was mentioned several times, after lookin at it several times, it struck me how true this was. we are such irresponsable creatures. the only one with imaginations, but if that is truly in your heart then i suggest medicate your self pity with denial of responsabilities, or at least whatever is paining you so much. honestly the movie is ultra sexy not really because of the delish appearance of people, but more so what their nature is. Funny, i think i can relate at least a little to lawrence, however normally i'll finally reach a state of apathy well before my barriers disappear.

"Self-Pity

I never saw a wild thing
sorry for itself.
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough
without ever having felt sorry for itself.

D. H. Lawrence"

anyways i just felt it was very true and a lesson learned.

The digital self, is it an inappropriate misrepresentation of persona?

What's fairly interesting is that in no other place is a multiple personality or taking on another personality an actual ideal thing other then the digital world. Yet, inside the digital universe or perhaps the realm of d&d or white wolf like games, it is considered perfection. In the modern world, as perverse as it may be, we consider the dis-reality with one's self a matter of insanity, not an intelligent choice of action. We consider the prospect of having multiple sides or multiple personalities a disorder brought upon by the inability to cope with reality as it is. Yet we have a fortress of alternative reality available to the modern man, that shoots you in an almost matrix like zone. You log in, you play your character, and you quit when you'd prefer not to die. When all this is done the player is able to go fix themselves a sandwich, pretend to have a undisrupted or unaffected social ability to relate to those around them, and end the day to begin again. Is this what it has come to? Video games... The computer... both of which have become a social replacement for moving your lips, and instead are enabling people to both misrepresent themselves to others as well as manipulate others choices?

Nature of the metamorphisis of the human being through social interaction

The nature of being human is intaking aspects of attributes bred into other people while bridging the characteristics within yourself to meld with another. What's intriguing about people is just how capable we are of changing into something wholely unique, all within the moments of a second. We are able to take the good characteristics of those around us while deciphering the negative, and instilling within ourselves the ability to become a better user. The people around us are in such a way a constant drug we are addicted to because we are social beings. Our choices are thus challenged and we are left with but a few things to do. We either move forward without any change believing that all attributes of the individual are incapable of improving your character, or we believe that they have influences that are imperative to incorporate within ourselves and thus we change. We are the unique because we have improvised and destroyed our old self to become something more proficient at striding through life without failure.
